the Empire Strikes Back - Star wars truly amazed me. An Ice planet,
Impirial walkers, Cloud City and the historical moment when Dart Vader
Surprises Luke Skywalker with the iconical:I am your father.
Have you forgotten what the whole deal with Star wars was before Jar Jar Binks and Hayden Christensen messed it up 30 years later, then here's a short resume...All done with LEGO:
When we first see the movie and the classic opening lines across the
screen, its cool to see how George Lukas changed from the ending of Star
Wars - A new Hope to the more dark and serius style in ESB.
After the initial attack on Hoth, our main characters are divided and sent out in different directions, making way of introducing new people to the plot.
We are being more informed of the Jedi-order and why Luke most follow
this path and the connection between him and Dart Vader evovles
(drastically towards the end...)
The funny remarks between Han
Solo and Princess Leia are more serious and we notice there are more
love in the space with them than a space carrier can handle.
Lukas is not famous for his character instructions, and Harrison Ford,
Carrie Fisher, and James Earl Jones are the main reasons why the
characters are believable.
You have probably seen the movie,
if you havent' then you have really missed a classic and if you thought
that the Star Wars series only where about using as much CGI and
blue/screen effects as possible then this is it.
As Star Wars has inpired countless of the best science fiction film, it took me a bit by surprise to learn that George Lukas was perhaps "a bit" inspired by '50's science fiction movies as you can see in this clip.
But we are all somehow inspired, and what the heck George Lukas did a fantastic job with Empire Strikes Back.
Forget about the prequels, this is the one.
